A question re: switching from Orange PAYG to Virgin

Options
I am considering going for the Virgin NTL/Telewest £10 300min/300texts offer which is still running. I'm currently on Orange PAYG and already spend over £10 per month, and dont use anywhere near 300mins or texts. I thought this would be good for phoning mobiles from home, instead of from my landline, to save on my home telephone bill too.

As I would like to keep my current phone number, I know that I will need to contact Orange to get my PAC code. Do I need this BEFORE I call Virgin to order this offer, or should I wait until I have received the Virgin SIM?

Thanks!

  • You can do this before you get your new phone as the PAC Code is active for 30 days.
  • I'm in the process of transferring my mobile number from Orange to Virgin to be on the same plan.

I've had the Virgin offer for nearly 6 months now so they'll let you PAC a number over at any time.

Thanks for that, I think I'll phone Virgin today & get it all set up first. Then I'll contact Orange for the PAC once its up & running.

Just hope it all goes smoothly..........
