    I'm always puzzled by why you'd spell a word two different ways. If you think, say, accommodation's spelt with one 'm' (the commonly seen 'accomodation') I'd expect it to be spelt like that every time you use the word.

    Surely, if you're spelling something two different ways, you've got to realise that at least one of them is wrong? Well, is it Hitachi, or is it Hitachie? Does anyone care?!

    This is quite common for dyslexic people. I'm constantly surprised at the variations in spelling dyslexic students come up with - sometimes several different versions within a very short piece of writing!
