I read this at a friend's wedding:


Apache Blessing

Now you will feel no rain,
for each of you will be shelter for the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
for each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there will be no loneliness,
for each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons,
but there is only one life before you.
May beauty surround you both in the
journey ahead and through all the years,
May happiness be your companion and
your days together be good and long upon the earth.

For my brothers wedding I read "Us Two" by Winnie the Pooh.I was As nervous as anything but i read it as though I was reading it to my two chidren and I sailed through it, even getting a round of applause from adults and children alike.

Justs googled this and its lovely. My niece and I used to be big winnie the pooh fans so this might be quite nice to read. I too will also be very very nervous however thanks to your tip I will pretend I am reading to the little children at work.

My absolute favorite is “His hello was the end of her endings”. I had it as the second reading at my own wedding, however have yet to hear it at any other


His hello was the end of her endings
Her laugh was their first step down the aisle
His hand would be hers to hold forever
His forever was as simple as her smile
He said she was what was missing
She said instantly she knew
She was a question to be answered
And his answer was “I do”
