We just bought an entire kitchen (fair size) for 700 quid (Wickes Takeaway)! Worktop is extra (ebay- 300 quid the lot) and teracotta tiles (gumtree- 225). We are going to assemble to units ourselves and get the builder to sort the worktop (its real wood). We laid the floor ourselves. So all in for a good size kitchen (all new) we paying about 1400 (extra includes grout etc). That is a very good price- depnds how much you can do yourself!0

My brother has recently bought his house and was doing every room in the house up, ending with the Kitchen/Dining room.
As he doesn't have much money, had to really do his homework. So used the cupboards he already had, sold his old doors on ebay, and bought a job lot of new doors (had a few spare) on ebay for 51.00, just what he was looking for - white gloss.
He then got his tiles (wall and floor) and kitchen sink from wickes, and was dead cert on having the black galaxy worktops, but when he priced them, were way over his budget, so was told about this other type of worktop (which Howdens recommended) that has a very similar look as the galaxy (sparkle), but just not the same quality, but was about 140.00 each length. 3M
He then bought an american fridge freezer (ebay again, and believe it or not .. again paid 51.00). Then got a range cooker from ebay. So, if on a budget - can be done, just need to do the homework. Also, good idea to get a floor plan done by one of the stores (B&Q - etc) just to give you some ideas of an example of the layout, saves working it out yourself, as they may come up with something you have not thought of. Also remember the stores like Ikea etc, who do a lovely range. B&Q are cheaper, and ikea doors are the cheapest, or is it vice versa????
If you need the name of the company that does the worktops, then let me know, and I will find the name out for you.Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay0 -

Sorry to hijack, but I'd be interested in the name of the worktop company - I'm having trouble finding good worktops at a good price!
Thanks0 -

Company name is REARO they are based in Glasgow, but are branching out down south. Have a look at their website. Asked brother about the worktops and was told they were 3.6M around 125.00 maybe plus vat (not sure).;)
Just had a look at the website myself -- DON'T MISS their SPECIAL OFFERS!!!!
Hope you find what you are looking for.
and LMCD - Good Luck, lots of upheaval:(, but well worth it in the end.:)Looking forward to the day I have nothing left to list on eBay0
