SKY - Multiple downgrading of packages

Just learnt something about Sky, wondered if u guys were aware.

I called on 21st Nov to give 30 days notice to cancel my Sky Sports.

I then called on 13th December to give the 30 days notice to cancel my Movies.

Apparently, you cannot have multiple downgrades running and because my Sports cancation was going through, when I cancelled my Movies it stopped my sports cancellation?!

Were any of you aware? seems a crazy system - especially when not explained by customer service.

Didn't know, but then when I downgraded from Sky World I just called them once told them to remove Sports, ESPN and Movies and put me on the base package.

its doing multiple changes in the 30 day notice period, they interfere with each other. so basic and amazing there system cannot seemingly cope

It's to do with the billing cycle.
  • This has been in the Terms and Conditions for some time - you can upgrade as many times as you like but can only downgrade once in every 30 day period.
