    Afternoon everybody,
Hope everyone is doing ok-hugs if youre not.

Not much to report really, don't fancy whats on my meal plan but cant decide what I do;).I think I shall make some pastry and go from there.I want to make a cake too.But I cant decide what :rotfl:can you tell I'm feeling indecisive today :D

The EA just rang to say the viewers loved the house, but have some more to look at yet,and it is at the very top of their budget. So just what we thought really.I did say we'd drop a bit so just have to wait and see really.

My neighbour came round with a big bag of paperbacks earlier :j- I think it was a thank you/sorry as we lent her the sat nav before Xmas and she hadnt given it back.DH wanted it last week, but managed without so I asked her on Sunday. She genuinely thought she'd returned it,I could see panic on her face wondering where it was.Anyway she went off to look and was back in 10 mins-she'd put it in the boot ready to give it back when she brought my eggs the day before Xmas eve(she gets trays of eggs from a farm near her mums)but handing them over is a two-handed job so she forgot.Nice of her to give me the books anyway.

Right, better get the baking tins out :rotfl:xx

    .
DH has just gone upstairs because DD screamed that there was a spider in her jeans :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: that'll teach her to use the floordrobe:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
ROFLMAO Oh dear; as someone who has a pathological loathing of floordrobes, that really made me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Gosh! Where is everyone today? I thought I was so late you would have all been and gone by now.

Got so busy this morning with various callers that it was nearly 2.00pm by the time I surfaced. Decided that I could well do without lunch, (I could actually do without about 100 lunches, I have so much fat to use up,) so will have a meal at about 5. Jacket potatoes with cheese, home cooked ham and salad. If we need/fancy anything else there is plenty of fresh fruit to use up.
I feel very virtuous and more than a bit smug. If only I could do it more often.

Finished one scarf for next Christmas and started another. At this rate I will be ready for Christmas 2012 in about June.:D

Oh, JulieG, how you take me back. I well remember taking DS1 for his first walk in the pram. I was so chuffed and felt as though I was walking on air. He's 42 now but I remember it as though it were yesterday. Sigh.......:)

RosyRed. Fingers crossed for you. I've had no feedback from the 6 viewings my house had at the end of last week. I know the house was too small for one lot but I had high hopes of the one that came for a second viewing.

I'm settling down with my seed catalogues tonight - this is the best bit. Love making plans but not too keen on the digging and weeding. I am most certainly not doing cabbages and sprouts this year. I've tried three times and had no success whatsoever. Well, the plants came up and grew and spent their lives shrouded in netting, fleece and every other barrier I could find but the cabbage whites managed to find a way in and the slugs tunnelled up from underneath.

I'm finally back online, let's hope it's a while before I have any more internet/phone/pc problems.
I went to collect my pc after work today & the road I needed is closed, so I had to find another route, boy was I panicking, I'm like a sodding vampire in reverse, needing to get home (or at least on to roads I know) before it gets dark.
I'm off to catch up on all the posts I've missed.
    Hugs Hester

    Thanks Monnagran,
Yes its good to get feedback so early, though it does usually tend to be round Wednesday after a weekend viewing, perhaps theres time yet for you.You would expect to get some after 6 viewers though.I find it so rude when they dont bother at all, rather be told they dont like it than nothing at all.Hope you hear soon too.

Just waiting for my fruitcake to finish.Got baked spuds in,a jam tart, and the bacon & leek quiche I finally decided on.Made some coleslaw too.

    evening!

Been at work today - early start. Have done 2 loads of washing and swept the floors and stairs with the dustpan and brush as I'm waiting for the new belt to come for my vax.

Tea was easy - burgers, veg sausages and cheesy pasta for tea.

DH is off sick today and tomorrow - but he's slightly better than he was. he's off to the docs tomorrow for a checkup.

    have a great evening all!

    take care x

Freezing here today, had to de-ice the minibus this morning :(

Today I was observed for my teaching practise. I was very worried cos 2 of my current work kids are horrible and can't sit still for 5 mins, so I thought they may play up. But they were both off 'sick' today! :j I don't care if their reasons were a tad woolley, it was a huge weight off my mind! It went very well and I got a good report :) We did an activity where they had to build a device to support an egg which was then dropped from height! They really enjoyed throwing them off the top of the wall (about 40ft high) and none of the eggs broke!

Need to do more uni work tonight :( and need to sort out stuff for new house.

OS wise - HM soup for lunch, need to wash dishes (no more DW for me :( ), dinner from freezer.

    Have a good evening all

    Hello all
Hope everyone has had a good day.
I did a lot of walking around school today, finding ways to avoid crossing the main playground which was still frosty when I left at 4. It will be worse tomorrow if there is another frost tonight.
I've made a birthday cake for DS1's birthday tomorrow, chocolate brownies. I put the mix in a bundt tin instead of a tray and it looks ok. I got the recipe from a thread on this site, I can't remember who originally posted it but thanks to them as it makes perfect brownies every time.
Just off to take DD to her club, hope everyone has a good evening

Evening all - boys bathed and in bed - they need an hour or so in their rooms chilling out before they sleep. Fire lit and washing on airer in front of it - dogs keeping me warm! Redrosy - if its any consolation when we view a property if we really like it I'm on the phone first thing Monday. The others I leave it until the EAs get round to phoning me. Managed to revamp the hall, clear the kitchen surfaces and prepare the rubbish for the skip run tomorrow!!! Have almost finished my bedroom, just need to put the childrens clothes away (tomorrow). Tonight is all about keeping the fire fuelled up so I can go to bed and leave the fire smouldering (its a woodburner) and then the washing will be dry tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Daisy dog at vets tomorrow to have stitches out and I'm attacking the kitchen and dining room tomorrow. Ho hum!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

OH and I spent the day catching up on jobs that we were too jetlagged to do last Monday-booking the car in for a service, cancelling Sky movies and sport(had a two month trial over Christmas), replacing a fence panel blown over in the storms before we came home, going to dentist(OH as a filling dropped out the other day), visiting the library, paying bills, chasing up the groundrent as we haven't had a bill in ages.....OH doesn't work Mondays.

I made a lemon drizzle cake and a cottage pie fot tea. It was delicious and is my favourite meal.

OH has now gone to train club...he usually goes Wednesdays but fancied a change.

Would like to watch Sherlock but we taped it as we went to friends last night(and Saturday :D) so better wait for him indoors...

Looks like we will have another frost tonight but no snow I hope!

Have a good evening all. Hugs and good wishes all round...:)
