:T At a mere £12,000, it is a no brainer ... What kind of people buy such a cooker? Are we talking Russian billionaires, Richard Branson, that kind of person?
On the downside it would fill my wee kitchen!!:DThanks to all the competition posters.0 -
For the OP what about one of those instant hot water taps built in to the worktop, but none of the other suggestions are bad either all sound good to me, also in the process of planning for it.Thanks to all the competition posters.0

Try configuring it properly, you wont get much change out of £17k
I've sold 3 of them in my time (well, not that model, but La Canche ranges) one was to a famous golfer, one a professional chef and the other was a French footballer. There are actually more expensive ones out there, but I couldn't possibly justify those as money savingI'd take one of those, it would fill my kitchen, but not much more professional than one of those, better than the stainless steel garb in kitchens, i'd be cooking all weekend of I had one of those.

If I got one, I wouldn't be able to buy food to cook on/in it, so I'll stick to my Gaggenau...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

On a more realistic note, items to add a bit of WOW to a kitchen:
How about a glass splashback from the House Of Ugly Fish?

Or a Siemens liftMatic oven?

Or I suppose you could make a fashion statement, whilst still getting something functional from Elica?

There's one thing which makes everyone who sees our kitchen go wow - the tiles. I chose iridescent mother-of-pearl-effect mosaic tiles to go between the countertop and the bottom of the wall cupboards. Even better, they reflect the most beautiful colours down onto the induction hob. Even after a year and a half, they still make me smile every time I see them. The look fantastic with my cream units and charcoal grey work surface:
I bought the Marguerita ones and they were worth every single penny, as far as I'm concerned. The image here definitely doesn't do it justice:

Good choice!
I used to have a kitchen on display with the Czars Delight colour tiles, looked absolutely amazing...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

Thanks, Meepster.
I was very tempted by the Czar's Delight - it really is spectacular, but we don't have much light coming into our kitchen so wanted something light and colour-reflecting. The Marguerita seems to make the room glow with light.
If our room had been lighter, I may well have chosen the Czar's Delight.0 -
Many thanks for all replies. Size is 3m x 5m. Laminate floor. Bay window for round table
Like the idea of some wall art.......or experiment with lighting
Is blue lighting dated now?
I suppose the WOW would come from the family keeping it tidy! Some chance..............0 -

The display it was in had no natural lighting at all, it's amazing what you can do with a few (ok, maybe a couple of dozen) strategically placed difused LED lampsIf it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
