  • Have to admit it's been an epic fail for me so far today - I have done nothing since getting in from my meeting except drink hot vimto and stroke the cats :o

Have just rang ex-boss (oooh thats wierd to say) to explain my reasons for not wanting to return and that I will take the 4 weeks on garden leave as offered. Feel a bit better now, like I have had some kind of closure to the situation :)

I have 1hr 45 mins before I need to go and collect DS from school so am going to get as much done in that time as I can. Will update again later :)

Dusty the lack of hot water is at home!.

Just been home and it seems there is a blockage or something, that requires the pipe work in certain places to be cut out, to see if it is there, and replaced and so on till they find it!

Like I say heating we can do with out, we do have a gas fire in the lounge and a portable electric one upstairs, failing those 2 we will just have to find some thing to do to keep warm :rotfl::o

The hot water they are now saying will be a couple of days, off to knock on neighbours doors tonight to 'borrow their showers' failing that it is a kettle or saucepans of hot water boiled on the hob.

Worse things are happening else where in the world, so I am sure some how we will get by, they did in 'olden days', it is just we are so use to switching on a button for heat or hot water, it is odd when you cannot do that.

Might be something when the shower breaks down to have one of those electric heating ones put in............

CY - option b might be fun ;)

the question is would either of them ever speak to me again?

The other problem is that DD1 has only been out of York twice in nearly 4 years.... now we know we hav eto work at this - but I want her in good health for the olympics ( we have spent £600+ on tickets) and i don't want her stressing over a this...

and DD2 does not like carveries - she doesn't like her meat as meat ( she likes it hidden in sauces) and she doesn't do veg!

I'd like to get away with not celebrating - OH ruined my birthday last year... but if I can't then I'd like to go to my local pub! But mum is in Stockport and little sis is in Didcot!

As I said it will require some thought....
