Back from Boots with my stash, only spent 22.25, but, on the way there I noticed I still had my slippers on, and I only noticed that because my feet felt wet :o chavtastic! :D

Need to go and do last night's tea dishes and wipe the benches, put pressie bags upstairs into an empty box, and remember to put my boots on for work *rolls eyes* need to see what's on the menu for tea too cos I'll have to pop to a shop on the way home from work to get it, small fridge and no freezer isn't the best.

Decided on way to Boots to get the white WM cos my DW is white so there, decision made.

Kaz 3 to 5 days! that's a long time to go without hot water not to mention the heating, hope they get it sorted asap for you x
  • Hello all :)

Thanks for the advice on the redundancy last night, I am the only one being made redundant however I am also the only non-qualified member of staff and they are restructuring the office.

I have been for my meeting this morning and it is going ahead so as of today I am redundant :o I have been offered two options, one is to take today as the start of my four week notice period and not return (they will pay the 4 weeks), the second is to agree an extended notice period with the company but I need to look into how this would affect my maternity pay/allowance. TBH I have asked for the day to think about it as I am not sure I can face going into work every day and handling questions from clients as to what is happening. I think it would cause me a lot of additional stress that I really want to avoid :o

Anyhoo, 19 weeks today - time is flying by (no pun intended :rotfl:) Have updated my list from yesterday below and will be back later to update.

But it might be a wonderful event... like our baptism.... can I come?????? lol

Feel free - it's the carvey on the road between Stockport and Manchester - I bet your OH's mother will know it!:D:D

I would drag mum over here but she's too frail to catch trains! ( her words - this is coming from someone who automatically walks to the car to go to the end of the road!).

And DS has never driven on a motoraway - would I trust him to a) drive us all there or b) drive and get my mum and bring her back?

    It needs some thinking about!

    4. buy new ironing board
    5. buy new iron if press doesnt turn up soon
    9. bathroom mirror to be put up
    10. work out finances to pay for windows, new boiler and bookcases before DH home
    11. chase up work about my holidays for end of year

  • Under sink cupboard had tidy as went to get bin bag a pool of water on shelf. Both taps run and washer on quick wash and can't see or feel any leaks so think it might just have been condensation if that's even possible.

CY would DS have an opportunity to do a spot of m/way driving before the Birthday to get him used to m/ways? Then he could go get your mum and fetch her back. Sticking my oar in here, but it's your birthday, you should have your celebration at your choice of venue, imho.:o

Just gonna post my list, so that I can delete what's already covered from my master document.;)

Parts of both upstairs and downstairs, as the stairs, hoovered as displacement activity. One load of washing on, another waiting. Clean ironed stuff shoved in airing cupboard. Recycling taken out... well, some of it. Kitchen table cleared enough for lunch (friend has decided to come round, which is great as I CBA to work). Soup tweaked to feed an extra person. Bagels extracted from freezer and a couple of bits moved from the outside freezer (which is starting to show signs of being run down) to the inside one. Radiators bled. Need to remember to empty bathroom and study bins.

    Really should do some work...
