Do you take keep from your children (working)

We have 3 dd's, two work and one is at college.
We take 20% from each working dd as a contribution towards the bills, shopping etc. We don't take anything from the youngest as she is still in f/t education. She works at the weekend so that money she earns has to pay for her extras, clothes, bus fares, DVD's etc and she buys presents for us & her friends with that money as well. Youngest also gets her CB so she does ok - she is also funding driving lessons now as well and we encourage her to save. Oldest two have both lived away from home so understand how much bills cost and appreciate that they are actually better off living at home and have the ability to save some of their earnings.
Our circumstances are sightly different, we live overseas and our dd's live in our UK house. We send money back to the UK and their 'keep' money tops it up and that's what pays the bills etc. They are coping very well with budgeting, as I say, two have lived away from home so had skills in place anyway and the youngest is learning to appreciate the cost of things as what each bill costs is no longer a mystery to her. They budget for their food shopping and if they save a few £'s, they can treat themselves to a take-away so they aren't living on a shoestring unless they are too extravagent!!
Works well for us & them and that's what's important in my view.0
