Focking fok as the Icelanders would say - I wouldn't do that daily for all the tea in China even if it was chauffeur driven.

Bung in CM23 3BL (my Stortford business postcode, I live 2mins walk from there) to SE25 (Won’t give the end, as it’ll tell you what company I own) onto Google maps, and that’s the route I’ve always taken, as it’s where the SatNav sent me on the first few trips :)

It’s quite nice being Dave-driven (only done it once, as it cost me £125), as he lets me smoke in his taxi etc etc etc.

I refuse t use my own drivers for work, as I don’t want them knowing what I’m upto, however I’ve heard that Jason (former owner) has moaned, as he thought it was my sister buying the company, not me :D

I do enjoy my drive; got a Range Rover Evoque until Monday from Stratstone. DD1 (10) has begged me not to buy one, as she reckons that the back seats are too cramped, but still thinking about it!

The only reason I’ve borrowed it for a few days is that I can find out, in my own time, whether it’s big enough/suitable for work without having the dealer around.

    It's Friday :j

I like Fridays because I try and have my work up to date by Friday giving me an easier day. Doesn't always work out but more often than not, it does. :)

Friday is my normal food shopping day unless I can manage it on a Thursday. I like food shopping, probably for the same reasons michaels does.

Friday is normally the only night I will have a [STRIKE]bottle of plonk[/STRIKE] drink (swally for the Scottish contingent) though not always and Friday night was normally a good night online though the NPT can be pretty quiet.

Lydia, you've been quiet, hope your ok

Wonder if NDG will ever come back or if she's just on a 3 Month yak tour of outer Mongolia.

Thanks sss. I'm fine. Just about keeping up with reading the thread, but very busy otherwise.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

In cheese, have we found a foodstuff that all NPs like? Nobody's chimed up yet saying "yeuch, cheese, revolting"...

Yes, as someone said before, cheeses are so diverse there must be something you like. I  cheese, except the mouldy and maggoty ones.

Friday is food shopping day for us also. And on Fridays we barely cook. We call it our "freestyling day". You just make up your personal menu for the evening while going through the supermarket. One of my favourites is shrimp salad with tomatoes and sweetcorn with breaded scampis as a side.

Did she mention she was going somewhere? Another one I'm missing is tomterm8, he always had something interesting to say.

Friday is also shopping day because there's lots to find in the "reduced to clear/almost out of date" shelves in the supermarket.

Last week, got 3 packs of pork chops for 75p each and a small beef roast for 1.50
    Result! :D

Oh yes. Must go now and deliver some forms to DS & DD's school that we forgot this morning, then pick up a few bits for lunch (friend that was going to come for coffee has been delayed so I said I'd give her lunch when she gets here) and do a quick tidy up. What I really ought to be doing today is marking my A-level coursework. :o
