I've been having an occasional chest pain since last night I am trying to dismiss as "shouldn't have eaten that pizza".... I'm sure it's nothing, but if I don't post for 48 hours..... consider I was wrong :)

Can you give NHS Direct a call and speak to a doctor, or your doctor's out of hours service? DH had something similar a few years back and he ended up being kept in for observation. He was ok, but better to be on the safe side.

I think it's better to phone NHS Direct and find out it was a frozen kebab and not a heart attack, than not and something else happen. Plus I'll now worry about you if you try and go to bed or something and stop posting.

The round trip time to come from here and deliver CPR may be a little optimistic.

There are a number of possible explanations, most of them absolutely fine, but I would not hesitate in your circumstances to go to the nearest accident and emergency department. I cannot see any downside in doing that, apart from whatever petrol you might expend. Just grab a book to read, and go!

I really would not worry about making a fool of yourself, and I really cannot see what else can be holding you back. PLEASE GO!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Go to A and E or phone NHS direct but don't ignore it. PN. :naughty:

Take a book like GDB says. And come back and tell us what fools we are.:D

I had no idea you could take cars!!

But not everybody will be wanting to go to the cities... they'll be wanting the beaches :)

Seems cheap as chips, costing from £22/car each way (up to 10 passengers) but still, just for me, £22 each way doesn't look too shabby.

For me, the biggest/hardest journey would be getting TO London to start any furren stuff.... I'd be, therefore, mostly looking at a ferry from Dorset/Devon as it'd be closer.
If you have car you can drive to beaches. Thats how i went to milan with the cats, drove across, with the car ful, drove across france, into italy.

Btw, have driven in paris and italian cities, not rome, but florence, milan, bologna, and especially for vivafitosi Modena....i would drive in rome, and almost did when we went for the day for a birthday party (posh alert) but decided (posher alert) to get a taxi instead as were very pushed for time.:D

Why is pastures' little green light showing when she should clearly be at her nearest medical place getting checked and reassured?

I do my spring cleaning every Easter. That way I can still have two days off and get most of the work done so I can enjoy my lighter evenings. Besides, the weather at Easter has a habit of being pants around here so its a good use of bad days.

The box sorting is pretty much it for us, will try and do some stuff monday am in a panic i guess. Today was holiday, went to visit another mse chum who we exchange visits with a few times now, and had a fabulous day, and went somewhere which might break the posh alert thing. Out filthy jeans, wellies and tracksuit confused the posh situation somewhat!

I just went over for a look and came across another thread in the Arms in general where someone with mental health issues (paranoia??) was being ribbed by other posters for their concerns. I'm not best impressed in general, but particularly at one poster who's previously posted their concerns about an emotional issue and had masses of support. It seems very unfair to garner the support of others when you need it, then take the p*ss out of others when they do. Hrumph...:(

If you added up all the things all the nice people combined had done by age 19, would we come close?

    (Maybe LIR?)

I did most of the exciting stuff in my lifeby the time i was 19, and had made a good deal of my money my that time too. I had already had three half way interseting jobs by other peoples standards, plus done things i liked doing. My life as an eight year old was more financially rewarding and cosmopolitan than it is now by far:rotfl:.

Problem is......the only way is not up!
