Looks like you can still get them too, by Kelloggs: http://www.kelloggs.com/en_US/KelloggrsquosFrootLoops.html

    Ocado sell them: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/#/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=froot+loops&store=ocado

Although currently showing as out of stock.

    Amazon do them, £7/pack http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001AMN3T2/
    There's also a Marshmallow version.

    Bl00dy pricey aren't they!!

There is (or at least used to be) an American grocers in Parsons Green, where I could get Triscuits and Reese's Pieces. Not ultra-cheap though, but the next time you're in London, if you're deperate to try some Fruit loops.... :D

Make long distance calls cheaper after ten minutes?

But doesn't solve the booth being clogged up by free local calls, unless you drop local calls after 20 minutes?

All this talk of phone boxes....

I think there is more of a need for a box than a phone these days. The number of times I've wanted to make a private call and there hasn't been anywhere to dip into. I'd have a lovely box, with a desk area that you can make notes (just a small one) and a chair, and charge people say £5 for 30 mins to use. I'd put them somewhere like Westfield. The main cost would be in soundproofing. If they could have a charging point for people's mobiles that are out of juice, that would be good too.

I would LOVE to have courses like that happening here. We had a course here last year for a friend, it went ok, we didn't charge her for the space, but she felt the profit wasn't enough to justify it. Its a shame, it was great fun. We have loads of parking, and when the house is done could tout b and b or camping too for us to make something. I wonder how much insurance for that sort of thing would cast, and how you go about getting course makers interested in your venue....i would do it fo
R free if we could get b and b takings and or do the course for loads of things.
You should research the local crafts people. See what they offer, where, for how much. You could either run a centre, bringing in people to run the courses on a split fee basis .... or offer a space for them to hire. I think there's a lot that could be done with that. If I had the building/space/parking I could make it happen.

There is a shortage of venues/courses in all sorts of things - with courses of a price/length that fits people's pockets and lifestyles.

Maybe, off the top of my head, you could see if country markets operate in your area - and, if not, contact them to find out what they'd consider a venue needs. It's not just courses ... there's the whole holistic bunch and mystic bunch - and shared craft shop/workshop spaces.

Look into it with a view to doing something in a couple of years maybe. The world's your oyster :)

I thought of you earlier... saw a course where you make a coracle in 2 days.... I thought you might have fun making those and paddling round the cake :)

If you got really good at it and saw a future in it, would that make you a coracle oracle?

There is a nt venue not far from here which has loads on....but costs a fortune. There is an adult ed venue that does residential courses i think. There is a college which caters for things like bee keeping. Not sure about it. Courses of the hippy variety could be fun and would feel less commercial here....

When I look at doing the stuff I am interested in doing, I google the name of the person who is the tutor. You'd be surprised how the same person can be priced at £130 for 2 days in one venue - and £295 for two days somewhere else. Same person, same number of teaching hours ... it's a no brainer.

Never ever sell on price though. You have to work out what your USP is and sell on the benefits of that.
