Well, that put me off

Was just about to buy quite a few bits of herbs etc from this seller then I checked their negative feedback replies....

http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=thespiceworksteam&iid=350506477366&de=off&items=25&which=negative&interval=365&_trkparms=negative_365

Needless to say, another ebay seller now has my custom and this one is firmly on my 'avoid' list.
Why on earth would you leave responses like that to negatives? Surely you must realise its going to lose you customers?

Good grief, I'm surprised the buyers haven't complained to ebay and got her banned by now, possibly the worst responses I've ever seen.

Wonderful aren't they? I was amazed myself that they have managed to get away with being so rude.
Surely they must realise its going to lose them business? I've spent about a tenner in another store this morning after seeing that.
  • If an occasional seller left replies like that, ebay would deregister them without warning.

However, this seller will be paying an awful lot in listing and final value fees, something which ebay find far more important than ensuring that they always enforce their own policies.

They do have a large turnover and would expect a few idiot buyers.
The comments would not stop me from buying from them.
Maybe her nickname is Angry Spice!

I would never buy from anyone that rude.

And, whilst ten quid is ten quid, its not going to be the end of the seller.

HOWEVER - if a hundred people thought like Pulliptears and went elsewhere, thats £1000 of sales lost, which IS a concern to the seller!

    Or at least should be!

Exactly, a tenner isn't much in the scheme of things, but when I need to reorder next month its another tenner, and another. As you say if a few people think the same as me (and soolin) thats potentially a fat chunk of cash they lose simply because they cannot resist being rude in their feedback.

I'd buy from them and leave negative just for the fun of it.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
