Damaged glasses want free repair

Hi i have a pair of expensive glasses purchased from Boots in April last year. They need to be repaired, due to the frame breaking and the falling out.

My question is: as they are less then 12 months old can i get the repair free of a replacement of the frames. I dont wear them all time they are like new..

    I've found Boots good in the past - a couple of years ago I had a nasty fall and damaged the frame (spectacle, not zimmer) :rotfl:Went into Boots and they did a repair free of charge, although I was expecting to pay. Not sure how long I'd had them, but didn't take a receipt and they didn't ask, although I believe they may have been Boots own brand. Suggest you ask them and see ...

    Thanks for that. I dont have the receipt for mine but they will have it on file as i failed my eye test at the same time.Will give it a shot.

    'failed your eye test' - I've never heard anyone fail an eye test before....is that a typo?

    A bit more info would be nice. Exactly how old are the glasses? What is the nature of the frame breaking?

    Let's phrase this slightly differently. OP did you break the glasses or are you claiming there is a fault?

    Or, has the screws loosened allowing the glass to fall out, which as mosts people who wear glasses know is a very common occurance and not really indicative of a fault.
