Hi
Sorry if this is already on the forums, but I cannot tell you how fed up I am with Virgin Media. I signed up for TVXL, 30MB BB and Calls and got a great deal and I was super impressed with the broadband speeds then about 3 months later it all went downhill.
I was left without broadband for 9 days due to a fault in the area (M1 3AB) in September, and it's been getting worse since then. I am barely getting 3MB at some points in the day and others I am getting the full 30MB. My O2 3G network on my iphone is faster!
This is my (30MB) speed this evening
0.68mb/s download and 0.47mb/s upload
I've had credits after credit on my account as an apology for loss of service, to be fair I've never had to pay my full amount but that's not what I want! I would like what I signed up for not just credits after credits.
I know Virgin Media throttle and I appreciate that but to below 3mbs! I am locked in a contract I cannot get out of, I really want to get a normal phone line broadband service with BT or Sky who are much more reliable.
Any advice? I am stuck with a substandard service, I really don't know what to do. I feel like paying out of the contract.
Many thanks.
Chris

It's called an outage what you describe,Have you had a service tech out?..The problems you are having could be caused by a blown Isolator (the white box on the wall your BBand is connected to.The Isolator is designed to blow if the's a 'power spike' or similar.0
