What is your credit history like? Have you looked at/considered other basic cards such as Vanquis and Capital One?:dance:Quidco Payments In 2011 - £724.21
June: £43.15/July: £51.22/August: £90.60/September: £29.75/October: £284.07/November: £171.08/December: £29.220 -
My Credit history is good, as stated by experian
i have an overdraft which i never go into,
a mortgage,
3 mobile phone contracts
and 2 missed payments 9/10 months ago
and never held a CC so want to start from bottom.
So is aqua better then Capital one and vanquis ?0 -

Experian credit score means nothing, its just a number THEY give you every company you apply to will use their own scoring system, also 2 missed payments in the last 12 months is a big negative0 -

Capital one progress I doubt it but a Capital one classic you stand a much higher chance, also a Vanquis you have a good chance to.
I got accepted for vanquis with a default and 4 missed payments in the previous 12 months before I applied0 -
I would try and see what they say
Aqua is owned by the Halifax its their sub prime credit card and if your not accepted for the progress they might offer you the classicI'm not poor i'm just skint0 -
Vanquis and Capital one classic are easy credit cards to get and they give them to people that have defaults and don't even work.I'm not poor i'm just skint0

Aqua use Call Credit to make their decisions I believe...
They do a 'Pre Check' before you apply, Should you pass that then you go onto the main application form, Of which 3 out comes once submitted...
- Instant online Acceptance like me, Gave me a limit of £800.
- Referral, Meaning they will undergo a few more 'Manual checks' and might need some ID etc etc...
- Instant online Decline !
I'd say go for it, My credit isn't good at all, But I still got one !
P.s from my experience of Sub Prime Cards, In order of acceptance (Lowest chance to highest chance),
- Barclaycard Initial is the hardest to be approved for
- Aqua Credit Card
- Capital One Classic
- Granite
- Vanquis
Don't apply for to many in a short time period though ! Lenders might see you as 'Desperate for credit' damaging your credit score temporary.0 -

so what would be the best choice for CC for me? as i only have 2 MP as a negative.

If you have some spare money you dont mind using Apply for the Capital One Classic card, if your denied you'll be offered the Capital One Secured card with a deposit ranging from £29 - £200.
If you dont have money incase of a failed Classic app go for the Vanquis card 1st.
Capital One show instant acceptance online, however Vanquis don't they usually state 2-7 days then call you up to sell you PPI0
