The error you are getting is a corrupt registry, which can stop the PC booting. It can be caused, just by switching the PC off without shutting down, or a crash which has the same effect.

Run start run cmd

chkdsk g: /F

then put it back in the original machine, if it still doesn't boot, then see if you can get into safemode and try a system restore.

If that doesn't work, then you could try doing a system restore manually, or booting from windows CD and doing a repair.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to use a boot CD, linux live CD to get the data off, or hook up to your PC and get the data off, and then reinstall windows.
