It may not have been made since 2005 but you CAN still get it! Hence why I put "or equivelent" after it.0 -

Whilst a good site I find the information on Satcure is often out of date or incomplete and should not be used on its own for data.0 -
Any competant DIY'er can do it,all you really need is a roll of CT-100 (or equivelent) cable & 2 'F' connectors.
A lot of Sparks will do it as will aerial fitters but they'll charge around £50 ish,if you have a neigbour who's any good at DIY,ask him if he'd do it & bung him £20-30 for doing it.You'll need it hooking up to the phoneline if you want to subscribe to Sky tho, which is usually £10.50 but are offering it for £2.50 at the mo.
I already pay a monthly subscription to Sky for my sky tv channels as I have a skyplus HD box in the lounge. I don't have the HD package just the HD box as you can record and store more hours on it than my older sky plus box. So wil I need to pay the £10.50 )£2.50)?0 -
If you have a Sky subscription, there is no charge to activate the recording features in the box with the subscription card. (You can't have those features without a card inserted.)
I've personally searched for CT100. There's a few people offering "CT100 equivalent", which is not genuine CT100 but a Chinese made cable. I can't say if it's inferior because I didn't bother to try it. If anyone still has stocks of genuine (at least seven-year-old) CT100 I'd be surprised. Even the later equivalent H109F and WC100 are no longer manufactured. H109F is nowhere to be found (hence my doubt about any stocks of CT100) and even WC100 (made up until a year ago) is just about all gone. If you can find genuine CT100 for sale (printed "Raydex") I'd be interested to know.0 -

If you want to have the same channels on your old box in the bedroom, yes. If you just want to use the record/play features but not subscribe to Sky on that box, then it's £10 a month,so you may as well go for what they call the 'multi-room' option at £10.50/£2.00.
If you rang Sky & ordered Multi-Room,but say you already have the box, they should arrange a free install of the second (your old) box.Moneymaker wrote: »If you have a Sky subscription, there is no charge to activate the recording features in the box with the subscription card. Sky have said its a £60 set up cost and £10.25 pm. They won't seem to budge on the cost. The £2.50 must have been a special offer as its not on now. Sad. I might just wait till it comes on offer again.0

I was able to get multiroom for £2.50pm for 12 months by ringing the dept which deals with 'thinking about leaving sky'?
Still had to pay £60 instalation so it makes a total of £90 for the year which includes sky channels whearas quote to just get an ordinary aerial installed were £69 or £79.99 in argos (didn't realise they do aerial instals) so decided sky was better value. Apparently in a years time if I don't want to carry on with a multi room subscription then I can change to a freesat card for £25 so I can watch free channels upstairs. Hope that helps someone.0 -
It's not Freesat that you get without a Sky sub. It's Freesat From Sky. Different platform (though similar channel line-up).No free lunch, and no free laptop0
