Did somebody get out of the wrong side of the bed this morning?Folk are always offering worktop offcuts on Freecycle.
OP, probably not the best idea if in a rented flatMake £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)
December £361.54, November £322.28, October £288.52, September £374.30, August £223.95, July £71.45, June £251.22, May£119.33, April £236.24, March £106.74, Feb £40.99, Jan £98.54) Total for 2017 - £2,495.100 -
Hi,
you got the bed cheap, so look on it as a 'package', both for £80.0 -

£60 for the cooker.
£2.99 for the Oven Pride.
Bargain
Seriously....it's electric......if she got given a gas cooker you'd be looking at £100 for a GasSafe connection anyway.....Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -
Having googled it, it's a double oven, ceramic hob, and I think too good to miss. So I'm now just trying to get a quote for collection/delivery and hopefully next weekend she'll have us round for a Sunday roast!!

Just be careful something of this size oven would need to be wired directly into a cooker switch. Does she have one by the cooker or just a normal plug? If it's a normal plug this oven is too powerful for a single plug.
If there is a cooker point there then it would need to be wired into it, so make sure she knows someone who can do this (unless she can herself)
Regarding delivery, might be cheaper to rent a van for an hour, half of a day. Most cookers can also fit into any medium size car with the seats down.0 -
We had a 90 cm oven and a half(small range cooker) in a 100cm gap with stainless steel infills, the kitchen planner made a boo boo so they paid for the infills, I was glad when I wanted to change the good looking but useless cooker for a decent double oven Cannon a couple of years ago, we just took out the infills and the new one fit like a glove.0

As it's a brand new flat, the connections will be there (with a fused spur to the consumer unit). You might need someone to wire it up (it isn't always the same as wiring up a 3 pin plug), but that's still cheaper than £350 plus connection and delivery and a fortnight wait from somewhere like Currys or Comet or Argos.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0

Just make sure the height is the same on the cooker as it is on your worktop.
I moved into a house that had a 60cm gap and 50cm cooker, but it was also a few cm shorter.
When moving pans on and off the cooker, they often caught on the worktop and it was quite dangerous.
I'd also fill the gap in if possible as food/oil got splashed all down the sides and it was a nightmare to clean. X0 -

Take a look on preloved. You may get one even cheaper or in the area it needs to be to save on transport costs.0
