I've got ADHD. You can ask me about it but I may not remember to answer...0 -
I've stayed in lots of Welcome cottages with my dogs, you can search for 'pets welcome' as well as 'enclosed garden' (along with lots of other things too) which makes it easier to find suitable accommodation. And dogs stay free

Littlesea in Weymouth ( Haven park) is brilliant for dog walking, there are loads of different walks from the park, ( we have been on park for 11 years so have discovered quite a few) the views are great and most of the walks take you in a large circle so your not having to walk back on your selves. At the bottom of the park is The Fleet lagoon and you can walk along the edge at low tide..
Park has lots of dogs on there most of the time and has lots of open spaces to exercise them.
Weymouth beach has 2 sections that dogs are allowed on in peak season.0 -
There are so many places that take dogs that you really need to decide what area you want to go to and then sort a place from there. We have been away 3 times this year with our two mutts. The last place was in Dorset and absolutely gorgeous.
We are hoping to go to the Eden Project this year but were a bit choked to find dogs arent allowed but a bit of googling found several nearby kennels who will dog sit during the day so you can visit the gardens. Id never want to leave mine in kennels for a whole holiday but I should imagine they will quite enjoy just a few hours.0 -
We used to have our own caravan which was brilliant for the dogs - lovely beaches, miles of off lead walking, loads of rabbits to chase (and sometimes catch...!) but had to give it up so the dogs will really miss it this year.
Hopefully we'll find a good alternative, or we'd even consider a touring caravan.0 -
Last time I visited one of the South Lakeland Parks, I noticed that they have facilities to cater for dogs. www.slholidays.co.uk
They have holiday parks based in the centre of the beautiful Lake District and so you could take them on lovely little walks around the countryside.
South Lakeland Parks also have a few parks on the North West coast, so if your dog enjoys water holidays, then these are a good choice!:rotfl:Thanks for reading!0 -
Thanks a lot to all of you for your great advice. Especially interested in the Dorset, Hampshire area but good to know about up North too! I have plenty to start researching now...ThanksA friend is a present which you give yourself (R.Stevenson)
