Question for the Experian rep

Sir
When my ex-husband went into our local BoS to change his address, the clerk erroneously changed all my accounts to his address too.
I noticed this on online banking, advised them accordingly, and it was changed back.
In the interim however, they have reported this to all 3 CRAs.
I raised a dispute and both Equifax and Callcredit removed this inaccurate information.
Experian wrote to the BoS who then compounded their error by confirming that I had lived there - (it probably does say this on their records!). Their records are wrong.
What do I have to do to get you to correct this information?
If you check the ER I have lived at my present address since 2001 - continuously!).

Raise it as a complaint with BOS and the CRAs can only amend information on the banks say so...Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0

***WARNING***Someone very easily set up a new account in my name with a company called https://www.creditexpert.co.uk by Experian and within 30 minutes of receiving a FREE report with all MY DETAILS they emptied ALL my bank accounts!!!
It was very easily done....i found this out when i got a letter from CreditExpert thanking me for joining!!!! I called them and they admitted that their Fraud Team had now stopped my account. TOO LATE
NOW ALL MY BANK ACCOUNTS ARE FROZEN and I'M BROKE!
Their own Victim Of Fraud Team are now looking into this!!!0 -

Tomba, this is the third post from you telling us the same - - what are you trying to achieve? It has already been mentioned to you in other responses that there is not enough information in any credit report to log into any bank account. Also, to get a credit report, a credit or debit card is required to pay for the report before you get it. So it looks you may have been severely compromised by someone using your card(s). It's got nothing to do with the credit rating agency though.0 -

Yeah if the CRA can see it a blantant mistake they may just change it.
In this case they may not see it as a blantant mistake and wont take any action until the lender says so..
If I was you follow the BOS complaints procedure then take it to the FOS if you need to.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

This is often said, but as this thread shows, it is not true in practice, and should not be true in theory.the CRAs can only amend information on the banks say so...
The CRAs hold and make available data about me. If I tell them that some piece of this data is wrong, they are, I believe, in breach of their licence from the Information Commissioner if they fail to correct it promptly. Meanwhile the CRAs are free to ask the organisation who gave them the data to state its opinion on the matter. However, if this organisation believes that I am lying, the CRA has no authority to decide which of us is right.
Moreover, if a CRA disseminates false information about me, I can sue it for defamation. It would be no defence to say 'We were just passing on information from a bank.' Likewise if the Daily Scandal prints a report that I am an embezzler, and I sue for defamation, it's no defence for the Daily Scandal to say that it got the story from a source it believed to be reliable. The Daily Scandal would have to prove that I am an embezzler. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Can you provide a source to the information you have provided maybe a link to the appropriate website or legislation?Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
Credit reference agencies are subject to the Data Protection Act and the libel laws in the same way as everybody else. See, for example, this guidance from the Information Commissioner, especially paragraphs 39 to 43.
