I used to do these Station Visits with a previous company and it is
against station By Laws to take pictures in a Rail Station.
No its not....
Photography
You are allowed to take photographs on stations if it is for personal use. For any commercial photography, you must seek prior permission from the appropriate train operator or from Network Rail at their 17 major stations. On busy stations using a tripod may cause a dangerous obstruction to passengers so you may be asked to remove it. You must also keep tripod legs away from platform edges and behind the yellow lines. You are not allowed to use flash photography on platforms as it may distract the attention of train drivers and train dispatch staff and is therefore a potential safety hazard. You are also not allowed to take photographs of security related equipment such as CCTV cameras."

But in this context, the photo isn't being taken for personal purposes, it's being taken as part of the shopper's job. Would that then be classed as for commercial usage?0 -

Presumably you can assume the client has given the necessary consent to National Rail etc. If not they are asking you to break the law. You'd have a defence of reasonableness against the bylaw and if you say to station security what you are up to they should be ok (Not having done one I don't know if that would compromise you to the wrong person but I get through barriers for MF all the time doing that)This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -
So I just logged into Bare to find out the status of two jobs for which I've applied, only to find that I have been given three sports shops. I applied for these only because I was going to be in that town during the time of the original run a fortnight ago. Guessing these are re-shops. I'm not keen to go all that way, but am sure if I contact them now to cancel, those other jobs will magically be reassigned elsewhere. I applied when they first appeared last week, and the fieldwork date has already begun, which makes me think they're waiting for someone "better" (i.e. more familiar) to apply (but how can they know whether I'm any good or not if they won't bloody well allocate me anything?!). What would you guys do in this situation?0
-
I'd ring and tell them what the situation is and say that you will do them ONLY if they assign you the other work, win win situation and it gets you experience with them.
BTW re the little'n, shes doing ok. Fighting off an infection and weaning off of the ventilation at the moment. Still has a tub in her chest but she finally had her first dirty nappy so things are looking up...although she did give us a scare with her other lung earlier this morning. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

New alerts are brilliant unicorndeva, and thank you so much for posting, I don't want to put you off doing so, but please, before posting, can you check back over previous posts to make sure you aren't duplicating a previous post? This may sound trivial, but several of us have email notifications set up for the thread so to log on for the 3rd time and see the same alerts again is a bit annoying. We’ve had to remove your signature. I see that GR have sent payments out today, which should be in the bank Wednesday or Thursday. They haven't paid slapper competitor visits yet, so looks like another 2 weeks for those!0
