I know what you mean Monkeynut. I've missed 2 job this week. Mind you I rang them, explained and the MSC's were fine.
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

I know that you must be busy elsewhere, but would love to know how your daughter and wife are.
No Matter what you do there will be critics.

I'd be wary of the GAP offer to pay 50% of the cost of the tablet - GAP happily sack people for no reason, will they then demand their 50% back?

Catalyst - late payers or what?
I only ever do work for them if I can do it the last week of the month. Otherwise I can be waiting for up to 2 months for my payment. Wish they'd get more clients as the toy shop is very monotonous and I have almost purchased all the battery toys in the store!! They did have a coffee'n'muffin client for a few weeks, I did a couple of those but never saw them again.

So how much work have we all for next week? I've got so many to do tomorrow I have had to sit down and make notes. Last year was dead in April, but this year it seems to have totally gone sky high. Is everyone else doing loads?
I've got the kids on school holidays so am not doing anything (apart from ABA-i super stores) for the next 2 weeks - sods law, I'm being offered loads!

BTW (and apologies for potentially opening an old wound Mimi ) has anyone else had an email from GAP regarding using tablets for audits?
Yes and I am sort of interested - I have a tablet already whcih doesn't have 3G so am wondering if I can use that, or do I need connectivity during the audit? I would also like to know , if we do buy a tablet and get 50% of the price back, what happens if (1) I decide not to do the audits any more or (2) If they sack me!!

I'd did several RA railway outlets in the first wave, the reporting requirements were crazy for the tiny fee, including a minimum 1,000 character "experience" comment box for a coffee purchase that might take a minute! I resorted to cut and pasting the same response (I did several identical brands and the experience was the same) RA called and said they would not pay me unless each report was different! I said this was silly given the fee amd experience, RA have not offered any of these to me since so probably sacked me from them.

Go team MM! Wooooooh! Station visits, I think are a bit like an RE visit. You have to ask a question and do various checks. Have a look at the questionnaire, and you will know what is expected of you. Just don't forget to take the photos. How we do that is beyond me. This is going to be a super busy train station. Eeeek.

Just make sure you do take the photo. I did a job for them and couldn't take a photo without it being obvious I was a mystery shopper. Filled in the report with a clear explanation that I felt it inappropriate to take a photo as it would have compromised my report and revealed my identity as a mystery shopper (something all reasonable companies not only understand, but expect you to do!).

I got dropped like a hot stone and refused payment for the report. I had only done 3 reports for them. The 2 of those that they would pay took 4 months to reach my bank account! Awful company.

I was sacked after politely querying a payment. I was suspended from their MS system and after emailing them 4 times without response, got the message!

I think in this day and age, that taking overt photos in a rail station might be a real issue.

    Audit program,
Yes I got an email from them about the tablet. I am a bit unsure as well as someone else said if you get sacked will they want the money back and I have looked at some of the tablets they have recommended, they are a bit expensive.
