i've been planning on living on it. i graduated last year but have had a nightmare trying to find work - partly due to health issues i have. so i figured this would pay more than job seekers allowance.. would you say that i'm making a bad choice??

i have been wondering, particularly because i have to buy a london travel card zones 1-5 every day for £8.80

I am not sure if it’s a bad choice for you or not as I obviously don’t know your circumstance. However there are some of us on here that do this as a living and manage quite nicely thank you very much.
It takes time to get to a point where you can support yourself from it. Given you are around the London area there are a lot of shops available, there are also a lot of shoppers too though. You will probably find it not profitable to start with and will need to claim some sort of benefit to keep you going. As a short term fix when it’s not something you have done before I doubt it will work.

Wonder when Gap will pay this month - must be nearly that time.

I got paid by GFK on Friday as well - and am sure I have been paid on a Friday before when 10th/25th has been at the weekend.
I have only ever known them to not pay on the friday beofre once and I think that was last month when they had a problem. You can ususally set your clock by them.

Think the last few months mine has gone in via faster payment on the 26th from GAP so hopefully later on today

There's a few like that, no remittance advice, nothing.
  • I think I could possibly swallow the scenario on the bookies for MF now with that fee but I guess be aware they will know you are a mystery shopper and get ready with the "whats a mystery shopper?" *looks blank* line lol x

I have noticed on some visits to a DIY chain on a couple of occassions when I have used the toilet, that if the staff room is off the corridor on the door it says what the myster shopper will be in the store for. Also when I worked in travel we were briefed on what the MS would be asking about, so I think alot of staf at various companies know what the breif is before each visit.

I think so too. From personal experience, I was once in the staff room of an ESA egg/baguette shop (I was doing a React promotional questionnaire with a manager, and he took me in there as there wasn't much room on the shop floor) and there were instructions on the private side of the door explaining what to look out for and do - I tried to get a better read of them but he took me back out before I had the chance! :D

Also my mum works in a GfK call centre and she says there's messages all over the place to say what the "correct" answers to questions are.

Anyone who has been doing mobile enquiries had a request for a head and shoulders photo, today or in the past? I received one today and can't say I'm particularly happy about supplying this in case it somehow compromises any future enquiries.
