Should we all leave the room? Give you two a bit of space?

Plus the lady who allocates for SS is just an absolute gem. She makes the TERN girls look like novices.

Dang, them's mighty strong words! :D Have had a lovely experience with Tern this week. Firstly, my 'name your price' offer for an eye test job was immediately accepted by C, then she gave me extra for parking, which was more than enough! The next day, we exchanged a bit of friendly banter about a photo I'd sent her of a difficult junction I'd had to drive on/through to get to and from the town centre. The day after, I received another email explaining that the eye test co had asked that I not be sent again, as my prescription is too high and basically my eyes aren't suitable for the task at hand. But she was so lovely and apologetic about it, and explained I hadn't done anything wrong and thanked me again for helping her out. I've been thinking that she and her colleagues could run a workshop for a few certain companies on how to treat their shoppers with respect. With a bonus lesson on paying decently, and promptly too! :)

I'm definitely signing up to SS after what you've said about them! Got the application page set up on another tab until I have the time to write a decent sample report. Any hints as to the kind of thing they're looking for?

They had me right up to the point where they ask for references and one from your current employer. Ain't gonna happen.

    Just back from the gym!

Someone else has mentioned the references thing. I signed up about 2 years ago and didn't have to give references. There is another girl I mentioned SS to on here and she has already done a dine for them. You have to totally dress up, think fine dining.

PS. Are we asking Serendipity and Sarah to get a room? I'm confused? :D:D

I'm not too comfortable with that bit either. I've entered my current line manager's info and my ex-boss' wife (who co-owned the company and is a much nicer, more reasonable and more articulate person), but hoping that they won't actually contact either of them, and the fact that I've taken the time to supply information is enough! The former doesn't like me because I'm unafraid to stand up for myself when I'm being treated unfairly, and I haven't spoken to the latter since October, when I quit that job.
