Finished counting my plastic Paddy's rather sooner than expected. First pub was a refusal from the landlord, second okay, third had decided to close at 7.30 due to the over enthusiastic celebrations of the clientele!

Thankfully the last two went off okay although neither landlord seemed aware of the project. Looks like I'm not going to get paid for visiting the two refusals, but reasonably happy with £30+ for walking a few hundred yards up the high road.
Kinda glad that oddly all of the most Irish pubs and bars in the area, the ones that were heaving, were not included.
Hope everyone had a good and safe experience if you were out tonight.

I finished sooner than expected too. To be honest the fee was fair for the work involved. Two of them took 5 minutes to complete, the other 10 minutes, and one was closed (which I will still be paid for). They were all close together. Reports took 2 minutes each.
I would have gladly accepted more, but only to nice pubs :)

GASTRO - You should be paid for those where they refused you. You turned up and attempted to do the job, if it doesn't show in your pending payments in the next few days then call them!

I'm glad the visits went off OK. I know a few were sniffy about doing them but each to their own. Money is money and not everyone is out boozing on St Patricks day.

Yes, not everyone is out - it's late in the month so many are waiting for payday. I'm boozing at home :j Looking at people drinking really makes you want a drink.

I agree, I had at least a ten minute walk to that one.
I came home inbetween, tried to ring the helpline number, naturally office hours only, and subsequently mailed them asking if there would be payment and offering pictures if needed. When entering the results, once you state that you were unsuccesful the job isnt in the pending payment file. I will ring them, but holding out no great hope, especially considering how awkward the proofing can be.

I did 7 - all lasted less than 10 mins and 1 was closed - called to check and will still be paid - or its what i was said. apart from one pub, a real damp squib

still survived in one piece and happy all in all - not sure I want to do all these weird jobs everyday, but fun every now and again

hope you all got home in 1 piece

Anyone else still got a load of MF counters up?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

254 of them. Not sure how many they thought they would shift but if they wanted to move them all they failed in a big way.

They really put no effort into it whatsoever, I expected at least one fee increase / phone call.

Oh well, maybe next year they'll do better if they try again.

There were lots of phone calls going around and the offer of as many jobs as you could do in the time. I think they pitched it wrongly in the first place and the stupid limit suggested they thought they would be a lot more popular than they were. I also think they will have !!!!ed the client off with this one so hopefully next year will be a with a better company.
