  • What's the best way to time elements of a mystery shopping visit without getting spotted? I've just picked up my first mystery shopping job and there are a couple of bits where I have to report how long it took staff to do certain things. I'm just worried that if I start checking my watch every 30 seconds it's going to look at bit obvious

I use a stopwatch app and pretend to be texting or browsing webpages. Mine also does laps, so I can monitor how long I was in the queue, how long I spent with the MOS, overall time spent, etc. Very useful, I especially don't know how anyone does an Aba-i cat shop without one :)

even the most basic of phones usually have a stopwatch facility with laps, have a look through the settings if youre not sure
or post the model and ill have a look where it is
  • Mine doesn't have laps on the built-in stopwatch but I just downloaded a really basic app that does it instead and that works fine. I tried glancing down at my phone and taking a mental note of the exact time at each stage but I found that much trickier, so I'd agree and say definitely go with the stopwatch.

What phone do you have? I have some handy tips if you have an iPhone :)

I have an iPhone but I find it too fiddly to use for timings because you can't tell if you've pressed it properly without actually looking at it...I use an old cheapo phone with actual buttons to press!

I think the Market Force hamster has run out of steam, it is taking ages to load a page, they will have to wait for their reports until the server is working properly.

Awww that warm fluffy feeling when you get an email thanking you for your hard work and excellent written reports

I told my daughter that a lady said I'd done well on a job, so she stuck a sticker on me for being a good girl :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

I noticed GfK demonstrating a rare example of their German origin by suggesting using ftp.gfk.de to prepare for their computer assignment. Sadly, it was largely wasted because the sales person was reluctant or unable to give any more than the minimum information on what I had gone into the store to assess.
  • Is the phone shop client for ESA new? I've never seen that particular company before? Or was my fingers just quick today! Lol x

Is it a fruity phone scenario?
This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.
