I think if its a genuine mistake on your part they let you recitfy it without penalties as long as you come clean with them. Theres a chart out there showing the levels you can end up paying, but others on here know more about the tax side than I do. I've a wonderful brother with his own accountancy firm and gets one of his underlings to do mine for me for nowt ;)

Again it can help to get advice, as in certain circumstances it may actually be beneficial for you to gain some NI contributions.

Yep, I agree with that. My situation is that I don't want or need to pay NI but that's not the case for everyone.

    Hi

Does anyone know if there is a problem with the site as I cant seem to get the home page. It says unable to connect to server. I have emailed them but not sure if the problem is theirs or mine :(

Does any one have a UK telephone number for them also?
  • What's the best way to time elements of a mystery shopping visit without getting spotted? I've just picked up my first mystery shopping job and there are a couple of bits where I have to report how long it took staff to do certain things. I'm just worried that if I start checking my watch every 30 seconds it's going to look at bit obvious

Boohoo! Applied for a react promotion shop, but it appears to have disappeared completely. I didn't even get a CLOSED email. *grumpy Mimi*

Me too mimi, I've seen that before when there's a mass allocation...it disappears for a bit while they do the allocating, then they send the emails out. Doesn't necessarily mean we've not got it.
  • Gah, all those GR alerts..... I've not had anything come up since the end of February. Might have to shift my tent to a new carpark or two. :D

Weird one this morning. The assistant in a phone shop asked me why I hadn't taken the contract I'd looked at before Christmas and, when I looked blankly at him, he said he remembered me. But it was in a different shop and he hadn't even served me! He must have an incredible memory. Well, either that or they've got no customers. :rotfl:

I carried on with the job but sent a note to the MS company afterwards, because I don't think he knew who I was but the whole thing flustered me a bit. Fingers crossed it's ok.

I thought it was because they have filled the quota. I've seen them send out loads before, and once 50 or so had been allocated, the rest of them were scrapped. Oh well. It would have been good as I had a men's shop to do there at the weekend anyway. Ho hmmmm.
