Bother - did a few MF assignments today and for some reason didn't fully take in the part saying to take photos for two of the visits. At least they don't need to be in until 12 tomorrow and I can nip along to where they are (at least they were almost next to each other) and take them. Am a little grr at myself!
On a plus point one of the other visits has gone from Pending to payment due so that's good
I've gotten into the habit of taking photos no matter what, if nowt else it is a reminder of what is left and right.0 -
That's an impressive amount of RE assignments in a year :rotfl:They were one of the first I did assignments for along with GR - I did some a few years ago and then started properly a bit over a year ago.
Yes, I'm wondering if that is actually something I should be proud of or not!
They were my second company - I signed up to Gap in 2007 after my friend talked about MSing but never actually did any work - I guess they let me go, as my old log-in details don't work now! I also signed up to GfK at the same time and finally did a phone shop for them in July 2010 after a nice phone call offering a few extra quid! I did another in October as it was a very minor detour on my way home from work.
Then in January last year, I was asked to do a bank enquiry (unfortunately no extra fee this time!). And then the bug bit and I haven't looked back! I asked my friend what other companies she used, she mentioned RE, so I signed up and gave them a go. Not long after that I came across this forum and the list of companies and now I've lost count of how many I work for!
GR was one of the first I signed up to, after I was doing my shopping at the slapper I frequented and I found out that they had an MS programme when the MOS made reference to having to ask me a particular question due to MSers. I found GR with a little help from Google - waited impatiently for ages to get a job, until I read the advice on here about adding extra addresses with particular postcodes
Other than that little irritance, I must say I do like them - on the few occasions I've had to contact them, they have come across as a very friendly and helpful team. Had a couple of odd queries about completed assignments via phone call, but I found them amusing more than anything. 0 -

I have been a regular MSer for just over a year (so guess that's quite new to you
) and RE were the second company I worked for. I must say that as I've become accustomed to their fees, questionnaires and standards, especially when compared to other MSCs, I've definitely become much, much more picky over the year - not so sure I'll be at 2000 points in March 2013!
For example, I no longer do the pub or pizza jobs as I don't believe I should be obligated to end up out of pocket to fulfill all of the brief specifications. I think the only reimbursement-only jobs I do now are the Italian and Mexican restaurants simply because I love going there!
I also don't do underground sandwiches as I think the photo requirements are over-the-top and it would be easy for them to find a stupid little fault. And after a ridiculous point deduction for something that was out of my control - I followed the brief but the MOS gave me handwritten details instead of the printout I wanted (and the stupid allocator refused to tell me what I should/could have done!) - I refuse to do the electronic stores.
At the moment I've been doing my share of bookies and not doing too badly with my bets either - keep 'em coming MF!
(well, not the reefers with the silly scenarios, they can go away - that's another one I won't do) 0 -

Blimey, keep going like that and you'll hit the magic 1000 in about half the time I did! :rotfl:
I hate when they keep jobs pending for over 24 hours - makes me think they're repeatedly scouring my results and their brief with a fine toothcomb to find the stupidest little thing imaginable to raise a proofreading query over

Good idea - I also try to get at least one of the left and rights in the photo as well, in case I need a reminder or to prevent queries about whether I've went to the right place, especially if the report is negative.0 -
Just a wee thing for everyone moaning about "only" having a 2mb broadband speed.... just wait till you have 0.5mb (in central scotland) and then you have something to moan about
Can not watch anything on You Tube without letting it play through/download once with mute on when it stops and starts and then when it is in the computer "memory" will play ok.0 -
Huge thanks for the help with the GFK questionnaire. It really annoys me when they ask question that aren't covered by the brief, before you can even see the coversheet/ questionaire. Would make so much more sense to let you open everything, and then only have to do the test before the results.
Really wish there'd been a box at the end of the report for any other comments. The lady was lovely, well informed, and was much more enthusiastic about the brand than it appears - if I wanted an SLR.
I had a massive jealousy moment when the bloke next to me bought a £1000 Leica. Not that I need a Leica. An upgrade/ second body for my current kit would be lovely though!0 -

I bought a D50 a few years ago, never had a clue what to do with it so it sat in the box! I must have used it 5 times in total, much asier with my compactHuge thanks for the help with the GFK questionnaire. Now I think you'd enjoy using a Compact System Camera, like the Sony NEX5-N. Easy to use like a compact, but you get the interchangeable lenses and quality like an SLR, I'm sure I could find someone willing to sell you one
