Looks like I've been unlucky with them. Ah well. Still though I think a warning about fees might be in order for them. This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

"Obviously in todays society that is no longer true and the word 'coloured' is somewhat outdated, BUT, I fail to see why it's offensive (maybe thats because i'm white)."
Hopefully I won't sound condesending but that is sometimes the case. Often words are associated with a certain history of how words were used. I suppose its difficult to understand and actually sometimes explain why words are deemed derogatry or offensive. In the sense of race and ethnicity, there is often difficulty in describing where people may be from. As an example there are many people from parts of the West Indies that look 'ethnically similar' to those from India. What then? Which 'box'?
I think this might be the reason why so many MSC's avoid the question. They work on measurables that are much more (no pun intended) black and white. Its either a Man or Woman. Hair falls into one of 4/5 categories. Glasses or not. Let the companies do some digging on who it was who served us. (most of them have CCTV and can use the audit trail off the receipt anyway.)Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Holy !!!!, Assosia are nasty! I've just sent an invoice to them detailing all the work they owe me payment for and other payments such as mileage and return postage of the fleece they erroneously sent me. Beth has replied claiming that she only received the results of one of the four visits they did (conveniently, one without mileage) and therefore I will only receive payment for that and the return postage!!!!
I have asked if she really didn't receive the results from my other three visits, then why on earth didn't she follow it up? I have resent the emails and told her that if that's still not enough, to check with the stores in question, as I signed myself in and out of the visitors book. I said I expect payment in full for the four jobs - including the agreed mileage - otherwise I will have to take legal action.

It's not the first time i've heard of them behaving in such a manner. I Also heard somebody else mention recently (although not on here) they claimed not to have got the results and I must admit I find it strange they wouldn't contact the shopper involved to ask.
I've only had one run in where I chased an outstanding payment. My emails were ignored by the allocator so went above their head, and was told I wasn't paid because I wasn't allocated the job and before I go off and do it I should wait to be allocated.
I sent the email back which clearly stated the work had been allocated and that I would not be so stupid as to do this and never got a responce or apology.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
Where can I find payment dates and pending payments for TNS?0

Can I ask who was the person/department you contacted above the allocator's head? PM me if you want. Did you try phoning too? So far this has been over email, if I can find a contact number for a manager I will certainly be using it if they don't answer my email.
I wonder if it was because the total size of the email including attachments was too big? In which case, why don't they upgrade their servers to allow for this? But then again, I've received automatic 'bounceback' emails in the past saying that I was sending too big an email for the recipient, and this didn't happen on these occasions. In any case, I can't understand at all why they wouldn't contact workers if they'd not received their results.
Does anyone know what is the best course of legal action I can take if they don't budge?0 -
What a PATHETIC fee for the MFers bed jobs - what with that, and the insulting amounts offered by RA last week, how's a girl to live?! So frustrating - a fair fee for a good job is all I ask ....0

This comment is worth less than you have paid me for it and by choosing to act upon it you absolve me of any and all liability relating to same.
Now that being out of the way while I don't know how much the amount is i'd say small claims will be the way forward...just make sure you apply to the judge for costs in full over and above the normal limits (£50 per day plus mileage)This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0 -

I always thought I was quite bright but I'll have to take a while to think about what that first sentence means...
I think one of the reasons they're playing funny !!!!!!s with me is because I added some extra charges onto my invoice, that is, for time and fuel taken to collect the fleece which shouldn't have been sent out to me, obtaining packaging materials, visiting the Post Office to return it, and for time taken to chase up the outstanding payment.
As I can prove that I did send the emails (whether they really didn't receive it, only they can know) and I signed in and out of the stores' visitors' book, I think I have a good case. I also have the paperwork from all visits, with notes, etc. Also staff will probably remember me from all the visits, even if they don't remember exact dates and times, etc. Hopefully it won't come to it, but I don't trust these people at all so it's worth thinking about now.0 -

Basically making sure I can't be dragged to court if my advice is inaccurate. I attended just enough lectures at uni to learn I had to put disclaimers on everything just in case
