Hi folks, I have also come on here to remark on the RE influx of pub jobs with a £carp reimbursement for an object that would be quite useless to most people. I personally cannot see anyone wanting to bother with them! Do they think people want to work for free? Flaming cheek!

Are you meant to get paid for part 2 of it then? Sounds like you have to buy something (which you are at least reimbursed for) and then go and do part 2 for the love of it rather than any financial reward?

    This :rotfl:

I agree it is rather bizarre (and they don't want you to have a drink on St Paddy's night?!) but can you please remove the reimbursement amount as we don't want to get into trouble? :)

Yes, you get the surprise benefit of a pub full of people laughing at you as you, stone cold sober, walk round with your clicky thing trying desperately to get them to stay still so you can count them. Hilarity will ensue as a drunk man in a green hat grabs your clicky device and proceeds to press the button a few times meaning you have to start all over again. Then you can return home and spend time filling in a report safe in the knowledge that the fee - a wonderful round number - will soon be paid to you.

And of course the thing you buy in part 1 can only be used to do part 2 so it's not really much of a thing to buy (unless you wanted one for some other reason I suppose).

Right, one more report to do. Then a bath :)

I suppose I could use it to intermittently make sure I still have both my children.

5 reports down. Time for another glass of wine I think!

I am pretty sure that Part 2 will have a fee but it would be nice to know how much of a fee it is before I accept Part 1.

edit: just noticed I need a 5MP camera to do Part 2. Mine is only 2MP. Does nice good quality photos but they want 5MP for some reason.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p
  • I think if they're not telling us about the fee then there's a good reason for it, i.e. it's going to be poor for the work involved, even for those MFers! :rotfl:

I guess you could put together a nice easy circuit and hit up a number of pubs on the same street or round a town or city centre.

Is it possible to claim the reimbursement for the clicker against multiple pubs and that's meant to be the fee? Of course that would be insulting rather than bizarre.

TBH it's academic for me, as that's my birthday and I am not spending it touring pubs with a clicker.
