I have just joined easymobile.com
It all seems to be very simple (easy) and v good value
NO rental fee & all calls at 15p - special offer till end of June calls were at 9p and its just been dropped to-day to 6p for all calls!! I think I should half my bill.
Hope this makes the rest of the mobile co drop their cost.

Your hope came true.
Fresh now announced a charge of only 5p/min - and their charge for texts is less than Stelios'!0 -

If this is true then it is very clever marketing on the part of CPW...
With the previous offer, the deal was offered by way of doubling your credit for any top-up made in-store with the original credit used first and the promotional credit valid for only 30 days. Many thought it was a bit of a swizz as many may never get the full benefit out of the additional free credit if it expires so quickly (and gets used last).
By effectively tripling the credit now on on offer (doubling the promotional time-limited freebie), there's even less chance of you getting the full benefit of the promotion unless your usage is so high that you might as well be on a contract (where you can get a subsidised handset and sometimes some cashback on the line rental) - okay...so not everyone can have a contract (or even wants one).
So, they can claim to trump Stelios for very little likely outlay.
Don't get me wrong...the jury's out with the Easy Mobile offering as well due to their strange way of dealing with credit and the charges levied for top-up and one or two other hidden "extras". I just thought I'd highlight the small print in these deals.
Interestingly enough...the one big winner in all this is TMobile as all the virtual networks involved in this aggresive competition for supremacy at the cheap end of the market run on the TMobile network and I imagine TMobile's income is purely dependent on the amount of network traffic, not what the virtuals decide to charge their customers for it.
Just my two penn'orth

You are a "doubting Thomas"
Why would I bother to post it if it wasn't true?0 -

Now you're just being sensitive, Smartasss.
Why should I believe ANYTHING I read on a bulletin board without seeing the official press release?

Anyone know when the new Fresh pricing goes live? Still says 7.5p any network and 2.5p for texts based on "current double top up promotion" on their website.0 -
Great to see that PAYG customers are finally getting their money's worth from the rip off mobile networks. Have just gone from a £40+ monthly contract on O2 to Fresh PAYG, and one hour after I got my new sim card they cut the cost of calls and texts again. Nice one0

EasyMobile has lowered there tariff.
it now cost 6p per minute to call any network and text cost 2 pence. Remember this is an opening offer until End of June.
(Standard price for voice calls 15p per pence and 5p per text)
So far I am happy with the service easymobile has provide and I highly recommend people to try it. I bet Virginmobile, o2, Vodafone, orange and others are running scared. :T0 -

This is on the Fresh site now:
"5p any call, any network and 1.7p any text, any time in the UK only applies to pre-pay mobile"0
