Surely a bin like this only smells if you leave the lid off?My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
I never had any smells from my composter. I do keep the lid on most of the time accept when I am putting stuff in or opening bottom to take some compost. My BIL has on in his back yard and its only small yard0

Any other uses for them after they have been used?
I bought some loose tea at the weekend and after trying to get them from the pot to the bin without spilling them all over the floor (which I have a 25% success rate with so far:rotfl:) it got me thinking, are they okput in the compost bin ?June Grocery Challenge 270.80/250July Grocery Challenge 0/3000 -

It will be fine; my auntie used to put them straight on the soil round the plants and they bloomed; I do the same with coffee grounds and have done for years' either can go both in compost bins or straight on the soil.0

I wouldn't worry about the ants at all. They are helping break it all up for you. Better there than in your house!3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!
