Selling a Bueche Girod watch

I want to sell a ladies gold watch. It has 32 diamonds around the face.

I live in South Yorkshire & have requested an on line quote from Parkers.

Does anyone else have any recommendations on how/ where to sell?

My mum has a Beuche Girod gold watch with a tigers eye face. Diana Dors had a beautiful white gold one with a blue face with driamonds all the way round. Beautiful.

There are a few on eBay.

    Thanks.

I did look on e bay but it doesn't seem that many have sold. I am also wary about selling an item of value on e bay.

Parkers have come back to me & advised that they would only be interested in paying the gold value.

I will take it to a jewellers this weekend & ask for the value of the gold & diamonds.

    Any other suggestions?

If you put "selling expensive watches" into google, it comes up with a good few companies that will buy them. Contact as many as possible to get a price.

Took the watch to a jewellers yesterday who have offered £600.

They have said there is about 45g of 9ct gold. Hatton Garden quote about £550 for the gold value.

Any thoughts about then selling the diamonds? There are 32 small diamonds.

Thanks Jen - the watch dealer said it was just the gold/ diamond value.

I just want to make sure I get the best amount for them.
