Disaster after disaster!
Ok.. laptop decided to corrupt itself so I lost everything on it. Today I've been trying to reinstall the internet which is Wanadoo Wireless and Talk.
As you know, Orange took over but I've still got the Wanadoo W&T Livebox and the CD that went with that.
When I restalled it on laptop it went through usual process where I connected adapter for wireless and had to press 1 on the Livebox so it would recognise it but when I did that, somehow the main PC decided to reinstall all the old Wanadoo stuff so although it said it was connected, acts like it's not connected.
Can anyone remember what happened when Orange took over? Did we have to download something from them to update it? The Livebox lights keep flashing but that's all it seems to be doing!

Just a thought; the Livebox has an enabled WEP code as standard (accessible through the administration options or ona sticker on the bottom of the Livebox itself if I remember corerctly) - if you don't configure your wireless laptop connection to have this WEP code you will never be able to connect.0

The fact that Orange took over makes no difference to your connection. The Livebox connects to the ISP and maintains the connection, not the PC's connected to your Livebox.
Try following this link. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Could be a dns problem. Can you reach these websites if you click on the IPs?

Hmmm... here's another page of those help screens which may help.
You should be able to go back to step 2 from that page, which may help to test the box
i don't have one of those, i'm afraid, so unsure what the ip of the box is.
Have you tried ethernet (cable) connection?0 -
Ok, this one looks like it may be useful
Here's another...
I've been trying to post this link for 10 mins. This website seems to hang at times, awfully frustrating0
