Hi my girlfriend is in Poland at the moment and I have recently got a mobile phone with x-net minutes. Is there any numbers that I can use to contact her on her mobile using the x-net minutes. I dont know if the 0870 number works from simplyfone but I know the 07744 numbers charge know.

    both for weekday peak times

I think we've assumed the OP means that she has a Polish number there; if not it would be worth looking at getting a local SIM to save on incoming roaming charges. Or looking at cheaper roaming options like Vodafone Passport or O2 My Europe and My Europe Extra

I cant see why not as long as you use their 0844/0870 O2 access numbers.

Because some access numbers are themselves cheaper to call at the weekends - 0870 1.5p instead of 7p (07744 is also reduced a lot, callers on Orange and T-mobile), there isn't the incoming revenue to the provider to support such a wide range of destinations

0844 numbers will show no variation with time, but 0870 will probably just have the cheapest landlines (and USA/Canada/China etc mobiles)

i recently bought a storytelecom sim via paypal - cost £25 but loaded with £25 credit - gives you a uk mobile no which you can call with xnet minutes but is free to receive calls anywhere in europe (no roaming charges) - also calls and texts back to uk seem pretty reasonable altho the procedure to make calls is slightly laborious (its a callback scheme) - i've used it in france, italy and germany in last month no probs - i was slightly dubious about it but it seems to be very cheap and works well ( the phone you use storytelecom sim in has to be unlocked)
