Orange PAC codes
Hi,
I rang Orange customer service 2 days ago to ask for a PAC code. I'm planning on moving to a pay monthly contract with O2 (nothing against Orange but the phone I want is only available on O2).
The people on the phone were very nice and said it would be with me within two hours...two days later and nothing had come through. Rang them again tonight and they claimed to have no record of my phone call!
Has anyone else had similiar experiences? Is this some ploy to make you ring again and pay another 25p to take to an advisor?

They are allowed 5 working days for a PAC. Fairly normal Orange service otherwise...No free lunch, and no free laptop

In fact it is 2 days according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porting_Authorisation_Code
However, I think this is incorrect as Ofcom clearly say 2 hours: http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/tell-us/telecoms/service-problems/mobile-pacs-porting-authorisation-codes/0 -
