Tips on mounting a satnav on a car dash please

I've got a older Becker satnav. Got fed up of it suckered to the wind screen, was just too far away, had to keep leaning forward to press anything on it - not great when driving.
Anyway, Becker do a stand that mounts on the dash top. Comes with a plastic disc that sticks to dash, then you sucker the mount to it. They also do mounts for vents and bike handle bards too.
This German company had loads of Becker accessories. They also cover a lot of other brands too. Seem to have more choice than similar UK sellers.

While I was at it, I fed the wiring behind the dash, made a new fag lighter socket spur to power it and spliced the TMC aerial input into aerial for radio. Making the whole thing much neater and no wires all over the dash. Highly recommended.0
