Cheap places to eat/drink in Prague???

  • Great! That's literally a couple of minutes away from our hotel. Looks good - we will definitely give this one a whirl too.
We found it that way too - we have stayed at the Marriott and Renaissance hotels when we've visited Prague and its right at the end of the street they are on.

A guide to all the best drinking holes in prague - loads of local type ones if you fancying getting away from the touristy bits.

Personally i recommend getting up into Zizkov and Vinohradski for an authentic czech experience.

There is a pub with a green sign with a trumpet on it right near the church at the back of the old square. This is probably the best, cheapest place near the center.

Thanks, Olly! I went to Prague last weekend and we made an effort to find this place. It was worth it! The prices were great! The goulash in there was soooooooo good. We went back to eat twice! (and I normally hate eating in the same place more than once on holiday!)

There is a jazz bar in the basement of this pub in the evenings which we also went to. It's very cool, and the music on the night we went was fantastic. MoneySavingTip: You can pay a cover charge to get in and sit in the small area infront of the stage (around £5 I think?) or you can sit around the corner and hear the music just as well for free. I would normally advocate paying the cover charge to support the band, but the free area around the corner was actually nicer.

Thanks for the great tip! :T
