Sky Broadband issues

Hi
I am looking to get Sky tv, Broadband and phone bundle. I spoke to them today and they said they can provide TV and Phone but broadband is not available in our area. I explained that our neighbours have sky broadband and they told me they only have a certain amount of broadband connections in the area. I went on the sky website and spoke to an online advisor who said this isn't true. Is this true or do they just not have an answer?
cheers

The are only a certain amount of connections per ISP in the exchange for LLU.It may be that all the LLU connections are used up in your exchange but the is also a resold BT product called 'Sky Connect' at £17 a month that they can connect you to.Although it is a dire service.0 -
Check if Sky is available LLU on your exchange by doing an exchange search on https://www.samknows.com. If it is, then it appears that your exchange is currently full for further Sky LLU connections.
Your neighbours may be on Sky Connect as spike suggests (and you don't want that). No free lunch, and no free laptop

We have had nothing but trouble with the Sky broadband, keeps dropping out etc and the customer support staff come out with different reasons everytime we call. Lost it completly over Christmas, was up and running till today when it has dropped out 3 times

Have done samknows and the isp's are talktalk and O2 - not an inspiring choice! However a neighbour has talktalk and get 3.2meg compared to my 0.3-1.4meg with Sky! Just that talktalk has such a bad reputation but then again its £17 for the whole phone and broadband package which is the price for the Sky connect!!
Definity try the samknows and see who is in the exchange - you maybe lucky!:j0 -

In my limited experience O2 LLU service is reliable, fast and effectively unlimited ...and if you have an O2 mobile, pretty cheap!! And its available without changing over phone line rental package.0 -
i also have sky broadband and alot of the time i have to unplug my modem and re-start it because it just cuts off so i personally wouldnt recommend using sky, also i sky customer services are not very helpful unless your signing up, after that they don't want to know, all they want is your money.0

I'm really happy with my SKY Unlimited BB & have one encountered one problem since we moved from AOL & that was dealt with very quickly by a really great tech guy in Belfast. It's fast & efficient and can only praise SKY and the same goes for my phone & TV package.0
