Why not try crashpadders.com. Its people whio have a spare room you can rent out for as many nights as you wish. My sister does it in London but its worldwide. Link below for a single room in Bristol for £15 per night as an example.

The Commercial Rooms (Wetherspoons) in Corn Street worked well when I organised a couple of Bristol meets - it's central, cheap and there's parking nearby, plus it's not far from Temple Meads and the bus station.
You can't book, but if we got there before the lunchtime rush we'd probably be OK and could bag the comfy sofas or a spot near the fire. It's quite big inside.Life is not a dress rehearsal.0
