Hello
We have now completed your order and these will be dispatched today.
The area we have been marked down recently in Ebay is timings and communication and we are working very very hard to get top rated seller status again
Just to confirm your order
• Your order was placed on 26th September
• We sent our first email to you the same day
• Your wording arrived on 26th september @ 20:53 whilst closed
• Proofs sent 28th September
• Proof agreed Saturday 29th
• Dispatched 1st class post 1st October
We either charged postage at cost or it was free and we are happy to refund the difference if we have charged you too much.
Please, please before you give us feedback with EBay
We really need 5* on everything if you feel we have let you down in any way could you email me first?
As eBay penalise sellers if we don’t get top marks I would welcome the opportunity to fix the situation before feedback is given.
Thanks again for the order and hope to see you again for thank you cards
Samantha
Just a heads up for regulars- the OP in this thread is 9 months old.
Samantha_ I think your email smacks of desperation- it is something we often discuss on here and it is usually felt that such emails tend to wind buyers up mroe than make them happy. You have no need to tell them your history and warn them that you are have issues with an element of your sales. If everything goes well you should get your stars recovering by just changing your practice.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ebay appear to be having a purge of restricting sellers accounts at the moment due to low dsr ratings, me included.
checkout the sellers discussions boards, lots of unhappy people.

I have just started selling on ebay again after a time away and noticed that this P&P thing is a nonsense.
Fortunately I have not yet experienced a buyer complaining about postage costs but from what I have read on here is that a lot of buyers will look at the amount paid, and then if it is not the exact amount on the stamp will complain.
They fail to note the price of the envelope, and any other packaging materials you have used to send their item. They seem to forget that P&P does not mean postage only.0 -
I agree with Soolin's points above, but I'd also add that this also alerts buyers to the fact that other buyers believe timings and comms are weak - effectively you are asking current buyers to disagree with previous buyers, which in some cases is likely to backfire.samcarroll00243 wrote: »This is what I send to every person who buys from me off of ebay tweaking appropriately

There are also a few buyers (I stress, a small proportion), who upon reading that timings and comms DSRs are already heading for trouble, will relish the opportunity to put the boot in with adverse DSRs, particularly against timings and comms - and perhaps just one more low rating could push your selling account under.
It's a difficult sitaution to recover from low DSRs. I had a collection of low value items that I kept meaning to list on eBay, but never got around to doing so. When someone gave me a low DSR, I found the time to list all those low value items on a free listing weekend and the feedback from these sales pushed the average back up.
Of course, there was a degree of risk: there was a danger that a subsequent buyer could have hit the same DSR and made the situation worse, rather than better! However, in my case, it was successful.

This may be a silly question (I may have missed something) but why are you all responding to a post made last January?0

With all due respect Samantha, this makes you sound like some kind of desperado.
You are inciting all sorts of trouble from your buyers. I would imagine some would even be tempted to mess with you because of the email.

Indeed, not to mention that most people won't read it anyway. Write what you like, the customer will do what they want whatever you tell them.Irn-Bru-Kid wrote: »With all due respect Samantha, this makes you sound like some kind of desperado.
