Council rent is based on the type of property. What the tenant does or doesn't earn has no bearing on the rent as it is not set per each individual property.
Once you move in or beforehand you tell the relevant benefit/tax credit departments the date you started living / due to start living together and her benefits will be stopped/ adjusted accordingly, they will not investigate into your life.0 -
