Leftover polystyrene pipe lagging cut down and strapped to smallish saplings to stop the cats damaging the bark through their scratching!

I'm going to use plastic water bottles to make a greenhouse.
an old shower door for the lid of a cold frame.
An old bath as a large planter to grow carrots.
big polysterine boxes as raised beds ( recycled from my mums work) and some of the lids I'm going to break up for drainage, the rest of the lids provide a surface for watering plants."A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." I use a pastic lemonade bottle cut off at a 45 degree angle as a scoop for getting compost out of the compost bag - holds more than a trowel and doesn't spill over the sidesDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

My daughter wanted a new guinea pig run so I told her she had to save half the money herself (thinking g pigs may be a fad) She promptly found a piece of wire netting from the allotment and fixed it round the third, open side of the old fire guard. This made a 4' x 1 1/2' run. This was held in place by some tent pegs and still works to this day.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......

Sorry, me again.
I aso converted a small Wendy House into a cat shelter by putting a cat flap into the window and two small shelves inside so they have one each.
My neighbour converted her grand daughters horrid plastic play house into one of these and they love it.

When we had a new kitchen fitted, we moved the old one into the garage. Lots of cupboards and drawers for storing plant pots, tools, odd bits and pieces. We plumbed in the sink too, so there's water for washing and watering.0

We're having new windows & doors & almost all the old windows are being taken by various people (through our local freecycle forum) to make cloches with.
One more for plastic bottles - I use the larger (2Litre) onesjust popped over the top of a bamboo cane - I have several of these in my veg plot & as the wind blows they rattle & keep the birds off my greens.
Also those wooden boxes wine/port come in for bird boxes.0 -
I used one of these just to cover plates to keep the flies off in summer.
I used the top of the washing machine, upturned and made a tiny rock garden, with little alpines. I know I didn't need to use the upturned top but it masde the whole thing portable so I could rearrange it in the garden as you would a container plant.
I am very interested in using the drum as a brassier. I once saw one on TV and can't remember how it was done.
If anything needs throwing out, I always give a long thought as to what it can be used for. Trouble is, my friends pass things on to me as they know I will find a use for it, somehow. the 'OH' gets mad with me for hoarding!!!Keep on trucking!0
