I was able to order my WASHING MACHINE (sound of angels singing!)
Went to bed tired but happy that my quest was over.
Next day, get a call from Indesit. Hello, we are calling to deliver your WASHER/DRIER. EH???????
Turns out some numpty at Currys had put the wrong code in. Only option was for them to cancel.
Gave up on Currys and decided to try another approach. Dixons (some of you can see whats coming already?) had it at the same price (which had gone up £20 incidentally). Order went through fine.
Finally, everything is ordered!!!
Got a call today from Indesit. We are calling to arrange delivery of your WASHER/DRIER. OFFS!!!!!!!!!!!!i dont see the issue they rang you to arrange delivery of washing machine you got arsey and cancelled
Why don't you actually read the post before making such an arse of yourself?
They never rang him in an attempt to deliver the washing machine that he ordered. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I like Dixons. They gave me 2 free Ipods last November and despite me pointing out their error 3 times they failed to collect them. One of them has now been donated as a raffle prize and helped raise £2500 for a cancer charity. The other one will be donated in due course to another good cause:T:T:T:T

I know Azari's already said this, but:i dont see the issue they rang you to arrange delivery of washing machine you got arsey and cancelled
Some of us are just old fashioned and like to have separate units. It's why I'm not a huge fan of TV/DVD or TV/Digibox combo sets, and why I've bought a separate mobile and MP3 player/radio0 -

Currys and PcWorld offer a price promise.
Dixons USED to do a price promise, but they've withdrawn it from public, the option you saw would either be if the price dropped within 7 days or/and the options still there after they withdrew the offer.I am not a beige person:D0 -

Just to give an update, I eventually told Currys to cancel my whole order and spent an extra £500 buying Bosch stuff via John Lewis. All arrived on time as promised without a hitch.
I got a £40 voucher from Currys for my grief. Went in to spend it and bumped into the assistant Mike who was the only good thing about my whole experience with Currys.
Guess what.....Currys management tried to pin the blame for it all on him!!!!!!!
WHAT A TOTAL DISGRACE.
spoke to his immediate boss and made sure he understood that it was NOTHING to do with good old Mike.
CURRYS HEAD OF CUSTOMER SERVICES SHOULD HANG HIS/HER HEAD IN SHAME.
TYPICAL MANAGEMENT.
JUST SH*T ON THE GUY BELOW TILL IT CAN'T GO ANY FURTHER.0 -
After hearing the horror stories of being a Currys shop-floorer from my ex-currys colleagues, THIS bit is what got Mike in trouble:He worked really hard for me, and got me a good deal on a Hood, Hob, Oven, Dishwasher all with extended warranties (they discounted some prices to offset these). I also wanted a Washing Machine and Tumble Drier, however, these were online only deals he advised.
OK, went home and ordered the tumble drier.
One, you purchased online rather than in the branch, so as far as HO are concerned that branch didn't sell the goods.
Two, Mike might have discounted too far... I don't know if it's still the case, but Currys staff used to, from what I hear, be measured on their sale-to-warranty ratio. If he effectively gave you the warranty for free, then they'll take a dim view on that.0 -

Just to add my vent. The Curry’s store at the Brunel park in Reading have excelled in reaching a new level of incompetence and show a complete lack of customer service. Not worth going into great detail but I along with many others I would recommend staying away from this shop and spend your money elsewhere. Vote with your feet.0
