TV Help - Channels Gone! No signal???

Hi Moneysavers

Can anyone help me with a problem that is really beginning to bug me!

For some reason the TV we have in our bedroom has lost its signal and all its channels. I have no idea why this has happened.
The TV has a Freeview box connected to it which connects to an aerial point on the wall. I believe this aerial then connects to the main aerial point in the living room where there is some sort of aerial thing built into the wall which is mains fed (bad description I know, I can take a photo if needs be).

I don't understand how the TV in the living room is fine but the bedroom has lost all its channels and signal.
For info the TV in the living room has Freeview built in. We have changed the Freeview box in the bedroom to see if it had broken but the other box has the same problem. I think the digital switchover occured a couple of months before this issue so don't think that is the problem.

Anyone any ideas?

Probably a booster/splitter - sounds like its gone kaput - however, before replacing it -have you checked that you can still tune in the bedroom TV (with attached Freeview box) if you move it to the lounge aerial point??
  • Morning brewerdave.

I did think about doing that. Couldn't be bothered with the faff, oh and cleaning the immense amount of dust I imagine is hiding behind the TV. I guess that'll be my next option to try though.

I had that happen. Somebody (not mentioning any names) had thrown a cardboard box into the loft and dislodged a connection from the aerial splitter/amplifier!
