Near miss

I had a near miss the other day it was one of these
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2166895
The OP of that thread got "a no fault" after 16 months of discussion between the parties.

Where I was a BikingBarney and my adversary was in the left hand lane, and the lane markings on the roundabout went clearly to the first exit for the left hand lane. However this Rbt does not have the arrows in the lanes immediatly at the traffic lights - there are arrows, further back next to the previous exit. The lane lines leading away from the traffic lights take the left hand lane directly out at the first exit.

So we all set off and I went for the exit and this guy had the audacity to stop and beep me because he wanted to go right round! in the outside lane

Luckily he didn't hit me. What sort of driver in their right mind will be in the left hand-outside lane of a Rbt and want to take the exit which is 315° from his entry point?

There have been additional lines painted since this photo was taken but the arrows are the same.
We had both come from Top Left entry point and were sitting where the wee green car is, there is now a lane marking going from the green car under that lorry and leading to the first lane on the next exit. He stopped where the red car is on the other side of that lorry.

Clearly the arrows are saying
left hand lane for immediate exit Waterton Road or straight on for the Crack Hill A48
Right hand lane for Crack Hill A48 or continue round for A48 to Pyle

I wasn't in any rage. You are wrong on the "advisory" what he did was to change lanes without checking. If you change lane and hit someone who is in the other lane then you are at fault. There's nothing to say you can't change lane but if you are going to change lane then the onus is on you to make sure it is safe to do so.

You might read the other thread above to see that the situation is clear, where there are lane markings and arrows on roundabouts you can't just decide you have a right of way to cross those lines to the right in order to keep going around the roundabout.
