I am SO glad that you posted here before paying!

Now you can rest easy, and spread the word!
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.
  • Thank you everyone. You all seem to advise the same thing here which puts my mind at rest! Only thing I'm wondering is, with another hospital appointment next week, what is the point in me paying for an expensive parking ticket if they are not enforceable ?

You seem to be confusing the legitimate fee you pay to park there, and the stupid amount of money demanded by the parking company if you breach one of their "rules". Nobody on this forum condones not paying to park, it's the unproportionate amounts demanded by the PPCs we object to.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

    Exactly. Pay your dues :)

  • I would never not pay (too much of a worrier for that). I just wondered what the point was if a private ticket is issued and people don't necessarily have to pay.

Anyway, I'm happy that my issue has been answered. Thanks all.

That Q has been asked a lot but it's partly a moral thing - pay your dues as others have said. Also partly avoiding becoming the very 'problem parker' that PPCs cite as the reason for their scummy 'business'.

So we don't recommend taking the mickey because you'd be perpetuating the myth that PPCs actually 'provide a service' (LOL!) and helping to justify the scam's existence. Always respect the basic parking charges that a landowner can ask for, or if not happy, look for a free car park instead.

But if you DO get a fake PCN treat it like a Burger King Flyer on your windscreeen - remove the offending item and ignore it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It says Civil Penalty Notice from ISS Mediclean ltd. Is that a private ticket ?

Is it possible to scan this in and host it on photobucket, just remove all personal details from it, then post the link, we would be extremely grateful.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
