need help with a samsung E900

I have been given from a friend a sim free samsung E900. sim free , can send and recieve text but will not calls. when you call it you get a busy tone and when you try to call out the phone rejects it. have gone through all the call barring menu stuff with no joy. can any one help as it is driving me mad. and i can not open all pics????

Can you tell me what sim card you have in it ? and when you ring out does it beep a few times before ending the call ?0 -
sounds like phone been reported stolen.. for some reasons on some networks it still lets you connect and send text just not calls0

It does sound blaclisted, you can check to see if it is by going to this website:-www.amta.org.au/default.asp?Page=405
If it is then there is nothing you can do and the phone is an expensive paperweight. If this is the case then you can sell it on ebay, sell it as faulty stating that it cant make or recieve calls, if the phone was lost then whoever lost it will have got a replacement so its not as if they are going to lose out and somebody will buy it as the phone will work in other countries,just not the U.K0 -

how recently updated is this site, is it a uk site
or an aussie site

Its australian but I have used it many times for U.K phones and they have come up as blaklisted on it. They do not make the phones unusable worldwide though its just barred in the U.K, its updated on a regular basis I think its 5 days after the phone is barred.0

i,ve just did a check on a phone which says it is unblocked, (thru amta .org)
but paying via the site below
